Cloudflare built a multibillion dollar business protecting the internet.

Inside its San Francisco HQ, a camera films a wall of lava lamps. Those unpredictable blobs add an extra source of randomness for encryption.

Cloudflare calls it the Wall of Entropy.

The lamps add randomness alongside other sources to help keep connections secure.
